How to keep Laptop on and not SLEEPS in Windows 7 when left unchecked. Using a Laptop, computer or Notebook nowadays becomes a basic need for many people to find information on the Internet. Step 1: Click on Star or Windows image in the lower left corner and select Control Panel.
Step 2: Select Hardware and Sound like the red box I created.
Step 3: Select Power Option and click Change when the computer sleeps.
Step 4: Please change to NEVER all six times below that I marked red.
Step 5: To revert to the initial version and battery laptop can last long then please click on Restore default settings for this plan.
